Recently, the DP60 high-rate lithium battery system from Sandine's customer, Shuangdeng Group, successfully completed a large-scale fire test (LSFT) for indoor AIDC backup power applications in accordance with UL 9540A-2026 (6th edition). It met all specified evaluation requirements on the first attempt.
The test abandoned idealized laboratory conditions. It replicated, 1:1, the real deployment conditions of an AIDC data hall (high density, enclosed space, high load) and accurately simulated extreme failure scenarios:
The test fully reproduced the entire process of cell thermal runaway and combustion. The measured data confirmed the core safety performance: thermal runaway and open flame were fully confined within a single cabinet, with no fire spread between cabinets and no explosion risk. After the test there was no re-ignition and no high-voltage arcing hazard. All evaluation criteria were met on the first attempt.
This test is grounded in real engineering deployment and addresses the safety concerns that owners, design institutes, and general contractors care about most. It verifies that, in an enclosed, high-density AIDC data hall, the DP60 can effectively block thermal propagation, avoid fire across the whole room, keep computing services running continuously, and reduce asset losses caused by downtime.

AIDC computing workloads place three demanding requirements on backup power systems: high power, high reliability, and high safety. The system must deliver instantaneous high-power discharge within limited cabinet space to keep computing services running without interruption. High-rate instantaneous discharge easily causes cell temperature rise and system overload risk, which places extreme demands on the lithium battery system's cell quality, structural design, and safety protection system.
Shuangdeng's DP60 high-rate lithium battery system was developed specifically for the instantaneous high-power throughput needs of AI computing. It targets the safety and power-matching challenges of backup power in high-density data halls, achieving coordinated breakthroughs in three dimensions: power, space, and safety:
Among these, the DP60 high-rate lithium battery system's high-voltage box panel, main panel, BMS panel, and busbar panel are all supplied by us, Sandine. The material is PA66+30GF with a V0 flame-retardant rating, and the panels passed the fire test together with the system.
A system design that meets the standard is only the starting point of safety; real-world extreme testing is the only standard for putting safety into practice. What customers need is not a product that "performs excellently in a perfect laboratory," but one that goes into real projects and holds up on safety, stays stable on efficiency, and creates value in complex field conditions.
